Ok firstly apologise has been way too long in between posts but we have been really busy well…moving house!!

Our Paddington house is officially renovated and we are finally in…Gigi our 3 year old is a little confused asking on a hourly basis when we are moving back to Palm Bch but apart from this we are all pretty impressed with the end result.

A renovation is a little like having a baby… at the time it is quite stressful and everyone loses a lot of sleep but at the end we are in agreement that it really wasn’t that bad after all and dare i say it….may even go again!!?

When i find the time (currently still trying to sort out the girl’s wardrobe!) i will do some before and after’s of each room but for now here are some recent shots of our home;)

We owe a huge thanks to our architect Luigi Rosselli and our builder David Anderson from Buildsmart Projects; although we were all very over our weekly site meetings towards the end…they will be missed (kind of);)

The front of our house – gate not shut though! and yellow door open so apologies not the best photo!

The yellow door;) House numbers still to go on!

The sitting room..can you tell that i am obsessed with yellow and blue!?

The Restoration Hardware Belgium Linen curtains (shipped via My US) – so happy with them!

Luigi’s gorgeous curved steps leading to the 1st floor

All hands were on deck (literally) for the move in – thankfully our girls love cleaning!

The formal dining room – am hunting for a moroccan rug thinking dark grey or even black (it is a dining room after all..food will be spilt!)

Close up of the sitting room; pink bakers tray is from Mark Tuckey Home in Newport (Gigi chose the colour!); spotty cushions from Temple & Webster and turquoise ikat silk cushions from Table Tonic

The devine yellow chairs are vintage from PAD in Waterloo (possibly my favourite shop in Sydney) they are upholstered in a Chistopher Farr linen/cotton (still need to scotch guard them!!)

My favourite feature of the house’s design is that you can see straight through to the garden from the front door..love that a blue juju hat greets everyone as well;) (from Table Tonic)..how embarrassing for me just noticed you can see that the rug is folded over in this photo – this rug was intended for the living room but we loved it so much in here that it stayed – thankfully it’s a patchwork so i can make it smaller (got it from Loom in Melbourne)

Mike’s new toy – we have grass so of course need a lawn mower – this is the smallest and lightest on the market (it’s a Bosch if anyone is interested!)

Gosh i just love these lights – we got them from Gineico; they were a splurge but worth it!

This is the wallpapered powder room (used a Batik pattern wallpaper which i bought in NY from ‘China Sea’s); it’s really hard to get a good photo as the room is so small!

The girl’s christened the pool – they are enjoying a post swim snack on the concrete daybed which Mummy still needs to get cushions made up for!

Speaking of getting things made up…this is the ottoman that i had made through Justin Puddick Upholsterers in Bronte for our walk in robe; fabric is China Sea’s and i piped it with a fluro orange from Orchestra outdoor fabrics

I was dying to get to Fox Studio’s market for some fresh flowers (and a nutella crepe!) – these roses were divine..the crepe was too;)

Mike wasted no time in getting back into the swing of city life – Wednesday twilight races from CYC (taking the helm with Marcus our neighbour)

We had Mike’s sister in town visiting so had to take them to Guillaume at Bennelong…most delicious meal i have had in a long time!

Yes we have had a busy week; Our Ella Bella had her first day at school!

And last of all – Paddo at night; we were blown away by the lighting – good job Secret Garden’s!!
