I have a confession to make - i may have enjoyed the design process of our garden more than our house. I am a huge believer that landscaping can make or break a house and anyone who has embarked on a large landscaping project will know that unfortunately beautiful gardens do not come cheap. As it is normally the portion of the renovation that goes in last (once all of the budget has been blown) it often gets skimped on or doesn't happen at all but i think after seeing these amazing images of some of Will Dangars gardens (he has done over 700 projects nationally!) you will see just how beautiful a garden can be..clearly it looks like these clients didn't have any budget restrictions at all (OMG these houses may be some of the best in Sydney if not the world!).

Originally from the country Ex Jackaroo Will Dangar www.williamdangar.com.au has pretty much dominated the exclusive end of the garden market in Australia for the last 20 years; he is now also dominating the letterbox and outdoor furniture market ( Robert Plumb www.robertplumb.com.au) yes his letterboxes rock - (we have one at Palmy) when he was Exterior Design Editor for Belle he was asked to put together a 'Best Of' page for letterboxes he immediately realised there was a gap in the market for stylish and simple letterboxes; he was getting them manufactured in Asia and as they were small there was lots of empty space in the shipping containers..he figured he may as well try his hand at designing outdoor furniture to fill up the container..luckily he has an amazing aesthetic as both lines have been a hit. He admits his product is not cheap but maintains that there is always a market for a good product that is well made.

Oh and did I mention he is also quickly building up a chain of boutique accommodation in Bondi www.staybondi.com.au yes you guessed it he noticed a gap in the market for short term boutique style accommodation in Bondi.

Most of these images come from his amazing pinterest pages www.pinterest.com/williamdangar which coincidentally featured our Paddo kitchen under his 'Architectural Inspiration' board;) don't you love it when someone you worship likes your stuff!?

i did warn you he dominates the exclusive end of the landscaping market..this Bellevue Hill house and garden is beyond beautiful

Yes that is wisteria..sigh can you imagine it in full bloom?! i love a pool without a fence don't know how they got away this though?!

Agapantha's, boxus hedges and wisteria AND green shutters - divine

this home is also in Bellevue Hill - I Love the elevated pool over the wooden deck..Will has cleverly hidden the glass fence by planting rosemary in front..ok add this one to the dream home list

looks like Bluestone steps in the lawn..more stunning rosemary and olive trees which i am also obsessed with

I think Will may like Wisteria as much as i do..and that star jasmine sprawling up the stairs - it probably smells as good as it looks!

More stunning star jasmine..and those sculptures!

Will's business partner is a builder so they offer a one stop shop by also offering joinery - love this built in pool side couch

More wisteria and jasmine..

Given that most of his projects are in Sydney he loves to incorporate a tropical feel i just love how manages to mix up the plant varieties so effortlessly

Magnolia's are planted behind Buxus hedging and the most perfect manicured lawn you have ever seen

Phoenix Roebelenii planted in between large steppers make the path that little bit more interesting

Custom made planters and daybed - love this plumeria actifolia growing around the frangipani

You can not beat frangipani's and Banana Palms for the tropical luxe look

Love this wooden platform which acts as the perfect spot to relax pool side

Speaking of relaxing pool side..it doesn't get much better than this..these are Robert Plumb sun loungers

The perfect built in day bed..

Wet edge pool perfection..bougainvillaea and palms on Balmoral slopes

Succulents and agapantha's and strategically placed Palm's

More strategically placed Palms..perfectly matching this modernist styled architectural home; love the pebbled border between the lawn and the tiles

Loving the indoor outdoor flow of this house

This incredible ocean front house was on the cover of Vogue a few months ago..its one of my favourites

Again we see the use of pebbles pool side and yes thats a Robert Plumb lounge setting; the owners of the house are South African so they took cues from their homeland for the architecture; wow those white steps leading into the pool just goes to show how important it is for the landscaper to work with the architect of the home to ensure an integration - this is flawless

love these steps - the combination of the aged timber and the bundled stone integrates the steps into the environment and the sprawling carpobrous

Ok i know i have said this before but this last home is my favourite - it sits on the waterfront in Vaucluse on Parsley Bay (i have admired it from afar from the bridge over Parsley Bay!) so it is no surprise Will Dangar is responsible for the amazing landscaping

Love the shape of the pool and those Casala chairs...although i have to say i wouldn't want to be mowing that sloping lawn!

Its more a work of art with the play on shapes and texture - these plants are gardenia (best smelling flower in my book) and loropetalum

more palms - love the way how he plants them within the lawn as opposed to a separate garden bed; the architectural plant in the foreground is Howen forsteriana

These Rosemary bushes are amazing (Rosmarinus officinalis)

A beautiful sandstone wall..this looks like Camp Cove?! Yes Will certainly gets some tough gigs!
