Without doubt my favourite textiles designer John Robshaw was recently featured in Elle Decor revealing his new NY apartment www.elledecor.com It's probably a tad over crowded for my likings however if i was surrounded by the beautiful artefacts, textiles and art like he is due to his numerous trips to Asia that he makes each year my house would probably be the same!

Dream job alert - he literally travels the world making textiles and sourcing home wares!! After graduating with a Fine Arts degree he moved to China to study Traditional Block printing...he has since printed his magical designs in Thailand, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bolivia, Zimbabwe and most recently Syria..

His fabrics are stocked through Ascraft which has a showroom in Rushcutters Bay Sydney www.ascraft.com.au they also happen to stock the beautiful Christopher Farr fabric as well (definitely my favourite showroom;)

This is a selection of some of his beautiful block printed linen's..how to choose!?

We are using this fabric for our bay window seat in our attic in Paddo

However it was very hard to choose just one - love this stripe 'Vintage stripe Corals' this would make a beautiful headboard in a boy's room

'Algiers Lotuss' loved this one too!

As well as a beautiful bedding range he also does a very Raj themed furniture range - there is that blue and red striped fabric again

Love these throw pillows - Ascraft sell this ready made throw pillows at their showroom (love the blue that this room is painted!!)

Everything this man does is so unique...

An image from one of his American showroom - blinded by choice!!

OMG that chair!! I must warn you though these fabrics are not cheap.. especially in Oz

How cute are these elephant luggage tags! can buy from his website www.johnrobshaw.com

Ok on to the home tour...living room - probably not my favourite choice of paint colour

John Robshaw standing by some of his art

Another gorgeous upholstered chair looks like a vintage Hmong fabric?

Love this vintage Indian chandelier as well as those dining chairs; the table is from Syria; the artwork is paint on denim by John himself - is there anything this man can't do!?

His kitchen cabinet not surprisingly is custom made in India!

This is my favourite room of the house - how gorgeous are those 2 toned blue walls!? I have been searching everywhere for a desk like this to go in our study - so far nothing!

Gorgeous blue walls in the bedroom - his signature bed heads which he also sells as well as the bed linen; love those turquoise lamps!

John is clearly well travelled and well read!;)
