After allowing my 5 YO to choose her room colour and fabrics for Paddington i am feeling the need to rein it in a little as Ella has gone for a 'Jungle theme'...i am trying to go for more of a Stylish Safari/Tribal theme..i figure if i throw a few white elephants in (literally) and maybe some giraffe art work she will be a happy camper;) so after doing a quick trawl of the net i found some very stylish Safari'ish accessories that will meet her jungle criteria and hopefully add a bit of character to the room..have also included some lust worthy kids rooms for some inspiration;)

The ultimate fashionista that nails the Tribal look is Heidi Middleton from Sass & Bide, this is her effortlessly stylish girls room - love that accessories tree!; Heidi and her family live up at Palmy and when ever i see her around the traps i feel like such a dag as she really just always looks soooo cool!!

Another local style queen Luella Tuckey; her girls bedroom..again just oozes that effortless style - the art work helps! Not to mention a furniture store at your disposal!!

I have featured these photo's before (Jenni Kayne's Californian house) but i have to say this is my absolute favourite children's room/play area..the berber rug!!! and that joinery for the toys!! love those pom pom's hung on the wall as well;)

Jenni Kayne's boy's bedroom..i think original art work is key (looks like they have gone for a bit of a jungle theme as well); i am determined to get some of the girl's art work framed up..and a Herme's blanket draped on the bunk bed ladder also looks great;)

Jenni Kayne's girl's nursery...ok confession time i trawled ebay looking for an equally cool vintage scarf that would rival this framed Hermes horse and i almost gave up...until Ella spotted a Gucci one from the 60's covered with..you guessed it- Jungle animals! Will do the reveal once i get it framed up

I was so close to getting these giraffe sconces from Jonathan Adler to go on the wall as a bed side light however they were over 40cm tall so thought they might be a tad large - sooo cute though!

This giraffe hook from Anthropologie (in the US) is super cute

Also from Anthropologie the elephant wall hook - might do one giraffe and one elephant

Found this large wall mounted elephant head on Etsy for $55

Love this photo of a baby giraffe by Sharon Montrose via www.20x200.com unfortunately all editions sold out though;(

www.pinkpagoda.com have a great collection of colourful prints in a chinoiserie theme - this set of 3 monkeys is so cute..you can also custom the colours and patterns with your animal of choice

Pink Pagoda green elephant

Loving the paisley pink elephant as well..

and the pink egret on the blue background..

Pink monkey on the turquoise background might be my favourite;)

Chevron jungle animal decal's would be cute for a nursery or play room available from etsy shop 'popitay'

Ju Ju hats would also be a great addition - on trend with Ella's jungle theme!

Also found Found this great site www.safarifusion.com selling great tribal style home wares from Africa

Love these handmade Batonga stools made in Zimbabwe, $295 they come in purple, aqua and a light green - would make for a great bedside table; or i might even put one in our ensuite to use as a stool or table for a cup of tea by the bath!

Batonga stool in purple

Langazela cushion from Safari Fusion; these are hand embroidered on recycled corn sack's, there is even intricate beading around the edges; every piece is unique $95

Back to the bedroom itself...this is one way to avoid painting the whole room pink..just do the ceiling! (Sorry i didn't see this image sooner) I think it actually looks pretty good!

For the Paddington girl's room we are actually using this China Sea's fabric but in a dark pink (there was a massive lead time on this gorgeous orange colour which i would have preferred) this bed head looks amazing against the grass cloth which i suspect is phillip Jeffries

This bedroom from Lonny is devine; i am dressing the girls windows in a similar fashion with white bamboo roman blinds and white belgium linen curtains on either side (from restoration hardware)

Love this room as well - gorgeous bed head shape and there is that Hermes blanket again..these are spoilt children!! I would hate to think how much those blankets cost??

More gorgeous matching bed heads..there is something very cute about the twin beds..i just hope my girls don't get sick of each other too soon so that i can maintain this look and contain them in one room for as long as possible!

Loving these checks and nailed bed heads - more for boys;)

Would hate to get the joinery bill for this room however it does look amazing and very practical with that built in desk; great colour blue as well

Another great desk; this room designed by Lindsay Todd; love the orange cartel chairs
