A good friend of mine recently forwarded me the link of this very stylish Sydney based interior designer www.marcomeneguzzi.com; when i clicked through the images of Marco's portfolio i immediately recognised his style as it is 'so Sydney' which i am not sure is a good or a bad thing! No doubt about it the man has style and a defined classic elegance to his work. In a recent Belle article http://marcomeneguzzi.com/media/2122/belle2012.pdf he cites that even he is turning to colour, pattern and a more modern aesthetic - this movement is gripping us all!;)

Thankfully this link happened to come to me at just the right time as i have been losing sleep (yes big issues at hand) over the colour selection for our Paddo outdoor cushions (told you they were big!!); i had envisioned a salmon pink colour and when i saw that Marco had used this in an outdoor terrace my selection was cemented and off to the upholsterer i trekked..

The image from Marco's portfolio of the outdoor cushion colour - the closest colour match i have found is Sunbrella Coral- i am trying to resist getting them piped in a blue as they look quite good plain - maybe some blue and white batik throw cushions might be all we need?

These cushions are gorgeous - very Indian block print in their design and colour palette

Marco is big on 'outdoor rooms' i have to say he does them a little more stylishly than Jamie Durie! Blue and white is so hard to beat!?

Marco has even done the interiors on this boat (not sure if its a yacht or cruiser?) either way it looks very nice!

His aesthetic just oozes style and comfort - this will probably the colour of my salmon pink coloured cushions after a few years of being in the elements!?

Another gorgeous outdoor area..i loovveee olive trees! they contrast so well with the potted succulents

Ticking and sisal - match made in heaven! Very Palm Beach;)

The dining room in the same house from the image above - love these upholstered dining chairs - so comfy! however i always shy away from fabric which will be near food as my kids still not quite there with the spag bol!

Love this hand painted screen used as a bed head

Grasscloth wallpaper - no doubt Phillip Jeffries - i wouldn't normally choose this brown colour (I am doing our walk in robe in a yellow grasscloth!) but contrasted with the floors and the red rug it looks amazing

He nails the soft furnishings - could seriously curl up on that recliner with a good book and a tea/wine right now!

Love these two tone curtains - i had hoped to do the same in Paddington until i found out how much custom made curtains like these cost - thankfully Restoration Hardware make amazing Belgium linen curtains at a fraction of the price;)

Marco is big on joinery - lots of amazing shelving to display those treasured items

French Doors are also a constant in his interiors which i love

Tongue and groove kitchen - am hoping our kitchen in Paddo will resemble something to this! ours will be white with cararra marble tops and mirror splash back though...

Marco was a former hairdresser and has no formal training - some people are just born with the style gene!
