Something is stirring inside my style radar and i am all of a sudden lusting after Retro pieces...a few years back i had zero appreciation for anything 'Vintage' but fast forward to today and anything to do with Hans Wegner or Euro Saarinen i seem to love. I recently purchased a gorgeous (well i hope it is as i bought it online! so still haven't laid eyes on it!) Danish 60's Copper light from the Melbourne supplier Angelucci 20th Century www.angelucci.net.au they have a really extensive website although it would help if they had a Sydney showroom given that you would kind of like to see the item in person before splashing out the cash and having to live with it in your home everyday...so here is hoping!

Melbourne has an amazing array of home wares shops which Sydney could do with a dose of..think Fenton & Fenton www.fentonandfenton.com.au and Loom Rugs www.loomrugs.com.au (actually bought our overdyed Hemp rug from here)...will do a separate post on these amazing shops later...

Here are a few items from Angelucci that i am covetting right now..most of them have sold but they can source items for you given that they do many trips to Europe each year hunting for these treasured Vintage goods..

Angelucci's Melbourne Showroom - 113 Smith St, Fitzroy; they specialise in vintage pieces from the 50's and 60's mainly from France and Denmark

They also make the iconic Butterfly Chair in a stainless steel frame for outdoor use, plain colours are $395 and there is an additional charge for striped fabric

They have a great range of colours to choose from...we will be putting a few of these on our Paddo deck

As well as their vintage offerings they also custom make some great looking sofa's - i am eyeing their Hollywood Range 3 seater for Paddo living room - love this orange coloured fabric! Similar in style to the Jardan Nook sofa but at a more affordable price point;)

Love this grey as well; i am thinking of going for a child friendly charcoal colour..or the orange..

This Danish 60's light pendant is similar to the one that i bought for Paddo's living area - we are going for a Swiss Retro feel out the back;)

I loved this 60's Danish copper and black pendant however size wise it was a little small for the space

Another great pendant from Denmark - they have a lot to choose from; regrettably i had bought most of my pendant lights for Paddo back in March and only discovered Angelucci a few weeks ago...next time! They are reasonably priced as well - range between $295 and $595

They have a great selection of lamps as well - love this 50's French Globe lamp - would be great in a study or in a kid's room

Love this orange glass European pendant light - very moroccan'ish!

We are hunting for a desk for the study (we had to cull the originally designed desk for the study of Paddo as the joinery quote was really exxy)..FYI walk in robes are really pricey!! This is a vintage Hans Wagner drop leaf desk - would have been perfect..but it is SOLD..want it even more now - going to check if they can source any more although not hopeful as they are apparently quite rare!

Another SOLD item! (please don't tease me with these!) looovvveee this 1950's Danish Oak daybed

Vintage Hans Wegner plank chair...i'm sorry but the Matt Blatt ones just aren't the same!

Another SOLD item...Euro Saarinen visitor arm chair - this would go perfectly in our Master bedroom..colour and all; this chair was featured in my last post on NY apartments

Gosh what's with my obsession with orange today!? love these 1950's french bamboo chairs - probably more at home in Palmy than Paddo style wise;)
