There is a constant internal struggle within my style which is Modern Vs Traditional; our architect Luigi Rosselli www.luigirosselli.com is the master of combining these two styles through using traditional organic materials in a modern way, as a result our Paddington house perfectly encompasses these two so now that it comes to the final touches of furnishing the house i am one day drawn to modern and the next day traditional so am really hoping i get the mix just right.... I stumbled upon a house in Architectural Digest owned by Jenni Kayne (an American Fashion Designer) which she recently renovated - i think she has absolutely nailed the mix!

Again these wooden ceilings - a great way to warm up a contemporary space (really regretting not doing this for Paddo in our new living area)

Of course it would help if we had this much space at our disposal...

Love these black trimmed window's - they provide such a great frame onto the garden

They must have spent a fortune on these timber ceilings! Absolutely love this kitchen and those stools!

A light filled room can really handle a dark colour - love this charcoal black

Love a hallway with clustered frames - will definitely be doing this on a wall in Paddo

So much attention to detail has been paid to joinery - love the mirrored doors and reflective bath tub

An Eames Lounge is an essential bed room chair - they really are so comfortable

Love these wired outdoor chairs

If only our house was big enough to include a play room - if it was this would be it! Even complete with Berber rug!

Oh to have the Light selection of LA at your disposal - love that pendant light!

Looovvveee this nursery - the art work is so clever - the middle piece is a vintage scarf stretched and framed - Table Tonic sells similar ones to these although to my knowledge not Hermes! And Mark Tuckey Home in Newport sell that bird cage pendant light

Looks like a double sided fireplace - genius!
