Ok so i did go into the Paddington store of Dinosaur Designs with every intention to look at their home wares; but this time Fashion won over and i ended up purchasing myself a beautiful necklace...it is a beautiful turquoise green (is that such a colour?!) and for some reason i am drawn to this colour every time - is everyone else like this?? (It's even in the Paddo to Palmy logo!)

I have long been an admirer of Louise Olsen (yes daughter of legendary artist John Olsen) and her partner Stephen Ormandy's gorgeous coloured resin jewellery and home wares, each piece is hand moulded in clay then cast in resin, then sanded, drilled and finished by hand to give it a unique and organic look and feel. In a world where mass production rules its really nice to see such individuality in each design; clearly this strategy is working - whilst i was snapping away in the Paddington store it was full with happy and admiring customers; there are 7 stores Globally including their newly opened BKH designed New York store. In addition to this you can shop online at www.dinosaurdesigns.com.au

Louise Olsen & Stephen Ormandy; they met at Art School;) Stephen is an artist (whose work i happen to love) and exhibits his paintings at the Tim Olsen Gallery..oh and they have dachshund dogs! (my favourite dog) ok am slightly obsessed with the couple..

One of Stephen's paintings in the living room of their Bronte house, he uses the shapes from the dachshund dog as inspiration, the 'pebble' under the shelf is from De De Ce

The very cool front door handle of the Paddington shop ( 339 Oxford St Paddington), there are lots of mirrors in this shop so i apologise for my reflection!!

So initially i was focussed on the home wares which we do actually need for Paddo

I was also eying these vases..finding it very hard to choose with such an array of amazing colours

How cute is this emerald green bowl and spoon!

And that's when i started looking at the jewellery..

Which colour???!! Um maybe all of them...

Love this combination!

This is the green turquoise colour i was talking about really pops against the coral colour

Then of course i was drawn to the blue and yellow colour combo

Llllooovvveee these black and gold earrings; if they came in the turquoise green i would have been sold

Then i spotted this beauty..the turquoise green necklace..

Ok not the best neckline of a dress to be trying this type of necklace on but i am pretty happy!

Love that green palm bangle as well..decisions..decisions...

Sooo many beautiful colours and designs to choose from..

Loved these coral tones as well

And purples...

Loved this turquoise blue and gold necklace as well...ok i pretty much wanted to buy the whole shop..

 Brown, white and gold...

Will have to go back for the home wares next time..

The problem is that the pieces look so good together that you can't just buy one bowl!!
