Finally the day has arrived - our Palmy pool finally met the hose! No chemicals added as yet although this has not stopped the girls wanting to take a long awaited dip; heating not as yet hooked up so Mummy will not be joining them!

We also tried out the newly opened French Bistro for breaky (the old Beach Rd) Bistro Rivage www.bistrorivage.com.au just opposite Palm Beach golf course; very child friendly - pencils and paper placed on table at arrival and plenty of room for the kids to dance in front of the tables (as ours chose to do!); food good; coffee a little weak for my liking but definitely worth checking out if you are getting a little sick of the crowds at the boathouse! www.theboathousepb.com.au

Enjoy the rest of the weekend- I for one am looking forward to the warmer weather coming our way tomorrow xx

Kids were making good use of our empty pool!

Almost full...

Waiting....

Almost there....

Laying out the plants...Secret Gardens are not me!

Measuring up the Palm's..this was all done on Friday (the 10C day - very windy as well - not ideal weather for filling a pool or laying out plants)

All filled - am so happy with the tile colour; apparently will change again once chlorine is in!?

Fence still to be painted (we had previously opted to do this to save some money, i convinced my hubby to leave this to the professionals - not that i doubt his painting skills!;)

Love the wet edge! scaffolding still to come down..

Sunrise over the pool...well i wasn't up in time for the actual sun rise but close enough!

Our new deck and glass balustrade

Bistro Rivage

Girl's were enjoying the pencil's and paper

Gave the thumbs up to the hot chocolate's

I had the scrambled eggs on sourdough with smoked salmon and fig compote - delish!

Hubby had the green eggs and ham - poached eggs with ham and pesto - he said it was tasty!

We had to try their home made donuts with lavender sugar and orange sauce - delish and huge!

And as mentioned before plenty of room for dancing at the table!
