There is one thing that i dream about A LOT and that is owning an apartment in Paris; probably not the most practical investment but there is just something about those old gems that conjure up idyllic images of romance, food and shopping;)

I spotted this one on www.architecturaldigest.com; initially it was the turquoise living room that caught my eye (dammit i wish i was brave enough to go for such a bold colour!) but then it was the mix of old and new that the Parisians seem to nail that i loved.

The apartment is in the E'lysee' Palace district (Presidential office down the road) and is owned by Stefano Pilati who is the Creative Director of Zegna (he previously was a designer at YSL under legendary Tom Ford). He recently renovated the Duplex apartment with Parisian architect Bruno Caron.

The turquoise living rooms; of course am loving those Frank Lloyd Wright yellow chairs, i love a built in seat especially with the bookshelves overhead - gives the room so much character;) And those parquetry floors..sigh...

The Italian born Pilati looking out to his terrace beside a gorgeous set of blue velvet vintage chairs

Office with Beni Ourain rug which he purchased in Morocco and am totally in love with this custom Martino Gamper yellow chest, the white fixture above the chest is actually a blank canvas!

I am currently loving these dusty grey colours at the moment; the platform bed is suede!! and the little 'LOVE' cushion a gift from Kate Moss is obviously very treasured;)

Th bathroom features a Narwhal ( a toothed whale!!) tusk;)
