Ok i promise this is the last Paris designer i feature for well at least a little while! I couldn't resist doing a post on this interior designer who is known as the 'Kate Moss' of the design world..as in anything she puts together just happens to look amazing in that Rock Chic Cool kind of way. My friend in Hong Kong (Thanks Paige!) gave me the tip and ever since i have been obsessing over her work..she has even influenced me to do a coloured wall..well at least think about it..after my total disaster in experimenting with dark colours for Paddo lets just say i am a fan!! www.sarahlavoine.com

Here she is sitting on her white couch in her Parisian apartment, she is of course gorgeous and happens to be married to some big Parisian singer/actor Marc Lavoine (never heard of him?!)..oh and did i mention her Dad was Editor of French Vogue and her Mum an Interior Designer...destined to be cool

Her living room in her Paris apartment...black windows appears to be her signature..am slightly obsessed with these parquetry floorboards; can't go wrong with black & white

Bedroom of her apartment...love the muted grey and black colour palette

looks like a meditation room....this is the blue that i unsuccessfully tried to do for our Paddo master bedroom (salt in wounds) and a replica (I hope!) of my favourite painting Matisse's The Dance..throw in a Berber rug = perfection!

See what i mean about making these bold colours look amazing??!

Another injection of a bold colour that looks amazing..yes its a feature wall (just when we thought they weren't cool!)

I love her joinery especially the dark colours that she often chooses to do them in...this is a big call from me given that i just did an entire house with white joinery

Love this retro style cabinet

Ok so this was the image that inspired me to paint our currently pristine white shelving unit in our Paddo living room this grey/green colour which is so not a colour i would normally choose - this is what this woman has done to me!!!

This is our shelving unit that i am potentially painting (the walls only) - the shelves are looking very bare as we are still yet to move all of our books from Palmy! Just feels it needs a colour injection??

Red, white and grey..winner combo

Love this blue turquoise colour...

She even makes a yellow feature wall look cool..again those black windowsers..she is making me second guess our entire renovation!

Black rooms in her Paris apartment...gorgeous! She always manages to display her art so creatively and en mass which seems to lighten the intensity of these dark room colours

Ok here we have black skirting and architraves with a gorgeous bright blue feature wall  - she is a colour genius!

Black, white and yellow...she is seriously making my all white living room look lifeless and boring;( Although admittedly this apartment has self contained rooms which lend themselves better to colour - our open plan living area i don't think would cope very well with these bright colours

Turquoise with white beamed ceiling anyone; when she does use these bright colours she always seems to counter balance with a complementary colour (cool blue + warm red)

OMG! am in love with this turquoise velvet couches

This is a French country home - the dark kitchen works so well with the stone wall - such a great large square dining table

Love everything about this bathroom; the charcoal claw foot bath; the exposed oak ceiling beams and the signature black door..and of course the white floors

Another stunning example of her creative art installations; the 3 different coloured pendant lights provide the room with added character; love this mirror as well!

Another amazing black room..

Another gorgeous bathroom..where does she find these amazing mirrors?! These wide board floorboards!

She does such original joinery

Is this not the most inviting pool house you have ever seen?! Could down a few G & T's in here!

Her signature black windows in full glory...with red lounge chairs!

Ok i want this pink rocking chair!!
