With our Paddington renovation all but over ( 2 weeks to go!) i am beginning to think it really wasn't that bad after all...At the time of our DA submission process which took over 12 months i was well and truly over it before it all began. I started desperately hunting for properties that were already DONE so that i wouldn't have to go through the perceived torture of renovating. We trawled the Eastern suburbs and one house that stopped me in my tracks was a stunning house in Tamarama - i called my husband immediately and said YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS HOUSE!! Still vivid in my mind i recently googled the house and found out that the talented lady responsible for the interiors was Briony Fitzgerald www.brionyfitzgeralddesign.com.au; the client's art collection was second to none and Briony was highly influenced by this.

Briony is gifted with a sublime use of colours - she intertwined these into a natural palette of whites, natural stone and timber which complimented the amazing views of Tamarama beach.

Briony's practice has been established for 15 years focusing on high end residential, however Briony is currently designing a furniture range, launching early 2013 - will keep you posted!

A beautiful custom made dining table sits beside a stunning Martine Emdur painting

'Woods' by Michael Clark 1959 wallpaper is inserted behind bedroom joinery - so cosy and chic! and there is that pink ceiling again which i wish i had have done for the girl's room

Custom outdoor furniture flanked with coral pink and sky blue upholstered cushions - i have to say i am tempted to 'steal' this colour palette for our Paddington seating area;) loving the black and white striped awning

Blue round shaped bed head with red covered buttons pop to provide just the perfect amount of interest

This room was a kids retreat - love the beige L shaped couch piped with pink! That blue rug just pops especially with that stunning art (don't know who the artist is?? but i Loovveee it) Those velvet cushions add that extra level of texture and make me want to jump on in and cosy up;)

Love these two toned curtains; again you can see Briony's signature use of colour with colour on the beige arm chair piped with a light blue

The casual living room that opens out onto the terrace; the sheer white curtains with concealed track provide just the right amount of structure to the room

The kitchen was what caught my eye the most - pink lacquered island with a distressed wooden bench top - sounds strange but looks devine and ties in perfectly with the rest of the house

Not surprisingly coloured tiles are used in the powder room; blue and white stripes - very nautical and fitting with the beachside location of the house ( am really wishing i was a little more experimental with my tile selection for Paddo)

The main hallway of the house - a stunning space that showcases the incredible art collection - the rear wall pops painted in a crimson pink colour

Another gorgeous tile selection - these look to be hand cut and glazed;)
