One of the finishes that i have been really happy with on the Paddington renovation is the handle motif that has been cut into the wardrobe doors - and i think it might have something to do with the fact that it strongly resembles a collection from my favourite jeweller - Van Cleef & Arpels;)....

I am focussing on this as today at the site meeting i had that sinking feeling where i thought i might have to run to the builders toilet! The wall colours were up in all their glory - only one coat but that was enough!! I had made some ridiculous colour choices - the upper levels of our house looked like Ella (our 5 YO) and Gisele (our 3 YO) had got out their favourite pastels and run riot without any adult supervision. Why is choosing a paint colour so hard? why does the colour always look so much brighter on the walls than on the sample card??

I learnt an important lesson today the hard way and i think it applies to fashion too - keep the outfit simple and throw in the colour with the accessories/jewels!! Keeping an all white palette is so much easier... it may be a little boring but not if you have fabulous accessories/art/furniture to dress it up...I have invested so much time in choosing the wall colours that i am not backing down now... i might tomorrow though;)

In the mean time enjoy the beautiful and colourful creations from VCA...

Ok getting off topic now - but how cute is this Vintage VCA watch!?

The watch opened up...

I absolutely love this vintage coral butterfly necklace - i have one of these in the turquoise which i never ever take off; it is probably a good thing that VCA does not have a shop in Australia!!
